The History and Art Gallery promotes visual art exhibitions focus on the historical and artistic heritage of Bragança, as well as workshops of plastic arts and film series.
The mission of the History and Art space is based on the historical and artistic heritage, assumed as a common space of symbolic character, either cognitive or emotional level, being therefore, the appropriate place for communication and the development of human relationship.
In this sense, it has a social function, it encourages the communication between different social elements, stimulating cultural identity, creating common experiences, helping the cooperation and acting as an agent of socialization. It benefits the collective identity of all citizens around the knowledge, the valuing and the active involvement with its space.
