The Festa de Nossa Senhora dos Chãos (Nossa Senhora dos Chãos Pilgrimage) is a very old pilgrimage that started its cult as a rural tradition. It is said that, at a certain time of the year, the farmers used to go to the church to ask for good harvests. This church was built in the eighteenth century. People used to say that "Nossa Senhora dos Chãos, takes the snacks and gives suppers."
