Ribeirinho House dates back to 1450 and the property included a hermitage devoted to Saint António, and later a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Mercy, built in 1778.
The house was built around the same period, and was expanded in the 19th century in a neoclassical style.The liberal expatriates, who came on the ship “Belfast” to lead a revolt against King Miguel, stayedin this house in 1828. The homeowner, António Bernardo Brito e Cunha, accused of being one ofthe revolutionary leaders, was one of the “Martyrs of Freedom” killed in Porto in May 7, 1829.

“Casa do Ribeirinho” offers catering services, support equipment (sound and image) and a set of complementary services such as photography, video coverage, animation, Deejaying and baby-sitting. With a capacity for 220 people, it’s an ideal place for weddings, anniversary and family parties, first communions and lunches.

Provides a diversity of indoor spaces – the English room, the Empire room, a Dinner room and a Ball room. It also includes an 18th Century chapel and two gardens, one with a French style and the other with a more romantic setting, with exotic species such as centenary palm trees.

At the garden, one finds the “Pavilhão de Jardim” made of glass, steal, iron and wood which mingles the traditional northern architecture, with its wooden balconies with a more contemporary flair.
