In the centre of the village, the Delfim’s Tavern is the ideal place to sustain yourself "matar o bicho" - as they say in the Region of Minho – early in the morning, accompanied with typical exquisite tidbits from the county (sausages, diced cod, “bolinhos de bacalhau” (codfish cakes), cod “pataniscas” (fried codfish), a “malguinha” (small bowl) filled with a superb red green (as in new) wine, to “fuel” a friendly chat.
The owner of this tavern is an expert concertina player and usually toast the visitors with his art. “Delfim Pereiras Amorim” was the best concertina player and Battle singer (kind of as in rap music but related to the Portuguese folkloric World) in Portugal. So demonstrated by the cups won inside country and abroad.
It is, above all, a genuine museum of Concertinas ... a must visit!
